🔥 Buffon – Great Forge and Canal

Located about 20 minutes from Tonnerre, the Grande Forge de Buffon is an exceptionally well-preserved 18th-century industrial site.

Created at the initiative of the naturalist Buffon, the forge illustrates the technical and scientific organization of a royal manufactory. The site is open to visitors and allows them to understand the workings of a large metallurgical installation of the period.

The village is also bordered by the Burgundy Canal , offering a pleasant walk along the water.
