A new natural area at the campsite

An old, unusable swimming pool has been transformed into a soothing green space, in the heart of the La Cascade municipal campsite.

At the La Cascade municipal campsite in Tonnerre, some spaces are evolving to adapt differently to different uses.

A new facility has been built on the site of a former swimming pool that had become unusable and potentially dangerous.

Rather than a major renovation, the choice was made to transform this space into a small green passageway, composed of bamboo and a path of Japanese stepping stones.

This new space, discreet and slightly set apart, now offers a calm place, ideal for taking a break, reading or simply strolling.

It is part of a desire to offer a simple, natural and pleasant camping experience, in connection with its environment.

👉 And for those who wish to enjoy a swim, the Tonnerre municipal swimming pool is accessible near the campsite.

Visitors will be able to discover this facility from the opening of the 2026 season.
